Dr. Jingdong Rao attended the 2025 Westlake Conference on Advanced Regenerative Engineering (WE-CARE), held in Hangzhou, China, from May 6 to May 7. She presented a poster on multifunctional stent coatings designed to align with the sequential phases of vascular repair. These coatings promote rapid re-endothelialization, prevent thrombosis, suppress inflammation and restenosis, and ultimately help maintain vascular microenvironmental homeostasis.

Mr. Huaqian Liu also participated in WE-CARE on May 6 and 7 at Westlake University in Hangzhou. He showcased a novel slot-in snap-back, homeothermal, shape-memory bone screw that delivers L-arginine and Ca²⁺ to stimulate mechanotransduction, activate osteogenic cells, and enhance bone regeneration. This work marks the first reported demonstration of the synergistic interaction between mechanical cues and biochemical signaling in bone repair. His presentation was recognized with the Best Poster Award.
